I raised this issue with TomTom and they have confirmed this was a mistake on their part and that the marketing material is erroneous and is being replaced.
So anyone who purchased a 940 from Halfords needs to get their claim in quickly before the goodwill runs out!

Never really saw the point of a sat nav remote, touch screen is far quicker, each to his own though  |

You obviously don't have a car with a steep windscreen that places the Nav out of reach such as many people Carrier type vehicles.

Correct! and if i did, i would use an alternative mount like Brodit etc or dash disc.
