530/ 540 subscriptions woes

Hi all,
Just testing out if anybody has had any experience with this.

Having the hd traffic error 2031 which i have posted on here, i thought i would try to salvage some of my outstanding 530 speed cam subscription which has 6 months left to run.
With the live HD speed cams already now running with my new 540 device they are simply doubling up on each other.

I thought maybe i could get a refund or a couple of months credit for the live services in exchange. This surley makes sense.

As it stands i cannot use the old subscription because of the above errors.

Tomtom say they cannot refund subscriptions or offer credit for servces.

Can that be right from a huge complany like tomtom?
