Just use Windows Explorer and double click the drive letter associated with the TomTom device, this will show the root of the device and displays the various folders and files contained within it.
You certainly shouldn't neet to resort to the old DOS commands - Mike

Here's the file/folder structure of my 910.

I've removed references to personal files, tweaks, BMP's, POI's etc.

My TMC has always worked perfectly and I've never experienced the 1 minute delay issue (lucky old me Very Happy

).

my tomtom 520T TMC reciever isnt recognized either now. Its been back to tomtom 4 times via halfrauds, who have refused to give me a refund as well. It is just out of its 12 months warranty, and im considering binning this piece of crap and going back to a Garmin. I have tried the mxtc.dat file renumbering, and it doesnt really work, well, it does on the 1st time i plug it in then it tells me no traffic info is available. Worked a dream before the update to 8.302, as soon as i update, bang, TMC not recognized, and now when it is recognized, it wont lock onto any traffic data!! HELP!!!

How do i return it to a previous software version? I dont seem to have these available I had to reformat the PC where it was backed up Evil or Very Mad

Any suggestions? Can i download previous software versions from TomTom?

Sorry for late reply, I've been a way for the weekend...

First thing to do is a backup NOW, so if anything goes wrong later, you can get back to square one. Use Windows Explorer to do this, not Home. See the FAQs at the top of this forum section for details.

Next there are some older software versions available on Oldboy's site HERE.

V8.010 (for gox20) sounds a good bet for you.

On a recent trip from the UK to Slovakia I noticed that although some traffic delays were displayed as 1 minute, other were displayed more accurately.

This particularly seemed to be the case in Germany.

Perhaps the issue is not the TomTom itself, but the detail of TMC data being recieved.
