I fancy buying the CD of walks to acompany the excelent DWS - Dicovery Walking Guide - Peak District walk book I have (plus it covers all the other books in the range). http://www.walking.demon.co.uk/pnfs.htm

I am unsure whether it would be compatable with my Sat map. Has anyone tried it, or can you interpret the tech-speak at the bottom of their web page?

"GPS Track and Waypoint files are in Oziexplorer .plt and .wpt format that can be used directly with the GPS Utility Special Edition software. 'Read Me' files are in standard .txt format that will open in any Windows based word processing programme. While Ros has designed the CD format into a flashy auto-run package which will guide you through the contents.
Mac users using MacGPSPro should download the MACGPSBabel file conversion programme from http://gpsbabel.sourceforge.net to convert the PNF files into GPX format.
GPS Utility Special Edition software (Win95-XP-Vista) is compatible with most hand-held gps receivers including:-
Garmin eTrex, eMap, 76, 12, 12XL, 48, II, II+, V, III, III+, 162, MAP195, MAP12, 12CX, Street Pilot, III Pilot and latest PC connectible units.
Magellan 315, 320, 330, 2000XL, 3000XL, NAV6000, and latest PC connectible units
."

Help very much appreciated

You will have to convert the file format to be able to get SatSync to read the data, but this is easy when using something like GPSBabel which the web site you linked to suggests using anyway (for MAC but it is also available for Windows users).
Have a read through This thread for some ideas on file conversion, but I would say the files can be translated for interpretation by the SatSync application then used on the Active10 - Mike
