My girlfriend has just lost her 930.....
Probably stolen from her desk at work as her office tends to have a lot of visitors of dubious honesty - nuff said.
So looking for a replacement and TotalPDA note that the 930 has been discontinued?????
Only bought one in May and that was fairly hot from release? What's the story? |

Hmm, interesting. The 930 has not been discontinued as far as I am aware but I'll check.
However, if you can get a 920 you can upgrade it to v8 software free and then take advantage of the Latest map Upgrade Guarantee. That will give you a device that is to all intents identical to the 930 for less dosh. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Does anyone know if proximity warnings work on a 930 without GSP reception, i.e. with EPT as the only input. I passed through a tunnel today where a speed camera is mounted (appears in my POI file too). Even though my TT 720 indicates a movement on the map after losing the GPS signal there is no warning when I approach the speed camera. If the dead reckoning algoritm is good enough it should be possible to get proximity warnings inside a tunnel.

Battery life was usually about 2-2.5 hours when new, but any Go930 is going to be a few years old now (this review was from 2008) and batteries tend to fail after 2-3 years.
There are several topics with instructions on how to do a battery change on this forum.
It's a 10 minute job if you're reasonably competent at taking electronic gadgets apart. |
