To name just one of many examples, the free POI list for Supermarkets - Budgens is almost wholly unusable from a phone number point of view. The phone numbers have been reformatted (presumably by excel) into scientific notation.... |

What device are you using?
The Budgens phone numbers are fine on my TomTom 720. _________________ Anita

If you are looking at the data on Excel, widen the column. If the number is too big for the column width to show, it goes into scientific notation.
Probably best to import it as text as well as I'm not sure how it likes the leading 0. _________________ Gerry

Don't use Excel for this as it can mess up the data, if you want to open a file right click it and choose pen With "Note Pad" this will display the files true contents - Mike |

The CSV files should be +44xxxxxxxxxxx.
The OV2 files uses a 'great than' symbol instead of the '+', because that's what the TT needs. _________________ Richard

Sorry Richard. I'd forgotten about the + as I use the ov2 format 'greater than' and couldn't think why that would cause a problem. Of course, the + will be ignored by excel.
Back to southfield69, personally, I'd go with Mike's suggestion and open the csv file with notepad. _________________ Gerry
