speed camera downloads

just bought a garmin NUVI 255. thinking of adding details of speed cameras. will these just appear on the maps as POI's or is there also an audible warning when approaching a camera site ?
Any advice on downloading the relevant data !

Hi and welcome.

With the Nuvi you'll get an icon on the screen, a banner alert and an audio warning.

I would recommend the Consolidated Database (Garmin POILoader, Consolidated) and once you have got used to using that you might want to play with adding Custom Alerts, better icons and customising the database alerts with Ash10's Camera Manager.
