Let's see if I've remembered this right....
Do you have a v8 map? If so you cannot downgrade to the v7 software required to run the custom menu which would give you back the itinerary features.
To find the map version, tap the signal strength bars, then tap the "version" box on the following screen.
The NEXT screen should be a page of text giving you the full software version number and the map version number. |

ok, i have found that i have version 8.016. so it doesn't look good then? thanks for replying so soon
edit: and map version 850.2783
i take it that it would be too simple to just 'dump' the files from a previuos version that does have the itinerary planner, to my newer version? clutching at straws now |

You could.... and the TomTom would work fine.
But it would say "no maps found", because your new v850 maps need reasonably up-to-date software.
