Anyway of reverting to Version 7.522 Navcore?

Very interesting.... I wonder why that should work but Mike's restore of an actual backup didn't?

Do you think we can persuade Richard (Oldboy) to add this version to his archive? (before the link disappears!)

Just followed your instructions burchy, and worked the same for me, thanks.

Logically I would have expected HOME to offer version 8.010 next time I logged in, but it doesn't. Is that what you were saying in your last post? And does this mean that if a better version comes along HOME won't spot that either?

Thanks for the info Bill, but my One Third Edition is now running a very different version to that on the previous page, at least we now know how to roll the device back to vs7 software when required - Mike

Can anyone confirm this.....

Since reverting my Tom Tom One 3rd Edition to Version 7.162 I no longer get offered QuickGPS Fix updates when I connect to Tom Tom Home. I'm not bothered as it doesn't seem to make any difference how quick the unit locks to a satellite signal, just curious if this is something others had noticed and if there happened to be a method to get the unit to do this update without updating to version 8.

Happy on Vsn 7.162 as like the option of Itinerary planning.

If you use the device on a regular basis (every couple of days) then the Quick GPS data is of no use to the device, I stopped bothering with this "feature" some considerable time ago on all my devices that support aGPS (3 PDA's and 4 TT units) - Mike

I'm new to this forum and don't know if it's custom to introduce itself before asking any "dumb" questions. If this is the case I'd appreciate any hints. Wink

But I'm trying to pose my question anyway...

I've just bought a new TomTom One 3rd Edition with the Western Europe Map. It came with a preinstalled version 8.016.

I was planning to downgrade to version 7.166 since I'd like to use the "hidden" itn-Feature. I downloaded the cab-File from one of the previous posts and copied the files to my TomTom. But it hangs up during reboot. The splash screens appears and then it just hangs up. I tried the reset twice (once by pressing the reset button about 30secs) but I've had no success so far.
For now I copied the actual files (which I saved before) to the TomTom and it works again. But alas, with Navcore 8.016. Sad

So I hope there might be anybody out there who might give me any tips I might try as well.

Welcome to the forum, to us the Navcore version on the One Third edition that could be "tweaked" to add the missing ITN function you would need to have a v705 map installed to the unit. I very much doubt you will be able to do this with the map version your device will have been supplied with - its too new - Mike
