Hi
In the good old days of TomTom 1 etc it was possible to exclude a section of road when route planning, This doesnt seem to be available these days with version 7 on a 910. Does anyone know of aa work around.
I need it to work around a Bad section on the A55 near Mold. A warning to anyone thinling of going that way. Apparently the road work are going to be there till spring 2009!!!
Thanks
David

As you are looking fairly long term here, you could use mapshare to block the road (makes it a no-go road as far as planning a route is concerned). You should use the option of NOT passing this change to other users but it would mean that you would never be routed there (until you remove the block). I think all the maps for 910 have mapshare enabled.

Off the top of my head (now running v8 on an XL so could be different), you could choose to "Find Alternative" on the route summary screen when planning a route. Choosing "avoid part of route" would block an entire road but for that journey only.

With a route set, Main Menu / Find Alternative / Avoid part of route, works on v7.
You are presented with a list of all the roads used. Just tap the one you want to avoid.

Hi

Thanks for the replies, tehsolution for the pressent seems to be the Mapshare method. Apparently the road works are going to be there for the next six to nine months. The alternative route method took out the whole of the A55.

Thanks again fro the help
