I have applied two software updates so far and still have the same problem so not sure when it will be fixed. It is confusing to have to reset things that are not necessary especially at the start of a walk, when you are leading it, and you don't have the manual to hand. Resetting everything feels like you are going to lose the route you want to follow as well and there is nothing on the trip log when you reset to indicate that you have already walked 5k. I only realised when I uploaded the log to Memory Map.

This is a bug and it needs to be fixed. Sooner rather than later.
