Having issues installing the opentom mp3 player on TT1 V2

I have carried out a backup of my existing sd card.
I then installed my new sd card and did a format.
It shows fat & fat 32 i have tried both but stil no good.
After the format i did not use TT home to carry out the following process but just drag & drop.
When a back up is done it is put in on the pc as follows.... Home,Backup,One,Backup01,Internal memory.
I copied the contents of the internal memory to the new sd card.
I then put the ttsystem file from the opentom mp3 site on the sd card as well,it asked did i wish to replace the existing file and i selected yes.
It also shows to overwrite the opentom folder as well, but i dont see a open tom folder on the sd card, this is where i think the issue is maybe as i assume this folder only exists on certain models ?????
When i put the opentom folder on the sd card it has no issues at all.
I then put a mp3 file in the media folder and reboot the TT1.
When the units switches on it gets as far as my startup screen and sits there doing nothing.
I popped my original sd card back in and all working fine.
Any help from anyone who has managed to get this software working or knows what i have done wrong please advise.
Thanks very much.

BELOW ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MP3 SITE.
............................................................................

Please follow these steps to install the OpenTom MP3 player on your device:

Create a backup of your SD card - or on the GO 700 - of your harddisk. This step is pretty important and we won't take any responsibility if something goes wrong. If your GO starts to navigate as badly as your front-seat passenger - don't blame us.

Save /ttsystem and the /opentom folder.

Unzip the downloaded archive on your device overwriting /ttsystem and the /opentom folder.

Put some MP3s into /opentom/media

Power on the device and start rockin
