Hi all, just got a new Garmin after using a Dell Axim for many years with TomTom3 the cameras from this site. Firstly used the free Cyclops software (30 day trial). Wasnt impressed as it either wouldnt see cameras or tell you that you were still in a 30mph camera zone half a mile after you left or would say you were in a 30mph zone when you were in a 40zone. Turned that off and i have downloaded all cameras from this site, they appear as Zip files in the Garmin/POI folder. Is that correct? And it says i need WinRar to open them! Unit cant see all cameras (A41 bypass). Is it a slow unit? Cant find a dedicated forum for Garmin!!

I'm not a Garmin owner, but you need to unzip the files before loading them onto the machine. If using Windows XP or above just right click on the zip file and select "extract all".

Then I believe you need "POILoader" from Garmin to actually load the files onto the NUVI.

Have you seen THESE INSTRUCTIONS?

Thanks now read the insructions. Have unzipped and used POI Loader but cannot see them on the unit now, what folder are they in? Under Proximity Alerts i have the choice of " Garmin Safety Cameras" or "Custom POIs"?

They will be under Custom POIs.

To disable the Garmin Cameras and activate the PGPSW ones goto Proximity Alerts, Untick Garmin Safety Cameras and tick Custom POIs.

To see the list of Cameras Where To, Extras, Custom POIs and they'll be listed....
