New Home application available, V2.2.2.83, not noticed any obvious changes as yet. MapShare seems to be working ok as I got an update after installing.
It also uploaded some POI updates I had done earlier this morning and 2 map changes, but no POI updates downloaded unless they are now being included within the map updates.

I think they'll give it a rest now - it's getting ahead of App version releases and new maps. They really need to balance them all out, but does this make a new version as many times as, or more than, months since v7 started? I've lost track and the excitement is endangering my continence.

Hmmm...you confuse me a bit here. Are you or are you not receiving POI updates? If you do, could you please tell me the long/lat of one POI that you have reported during the last few days?

Sorry but don't quite see what is confusing.

I added 4 new POI's this morning to my device. When I connected to TomTom Home it downloaded the latest version of Home and installed it, it then downloaded a new MapShare update.

Then it uploaded the new POI's I had created earlier.

It did not download any POI updates.

Which is what I put in my original post.

Sorry, I was reading your posting a bit too quickly. Now I understand the scenario. Smile

I think the POI updates are included in the map share updates, because when I do the mapshare updates then check my TT certain POI's have been selected to show on the map, that seems to happen if I add POI's seperately or a new catergory. Thats why I think they are updating when I do mapshare updates.

Just connected to TomTom via Home and received a QuickGPSfix of 0.1MB and a Mapshare update of 0.2MB.

What is interesting is that although I have made some changes to the POI's I have set to receive such as Dentists and Doctors in the last 2days, the PA****.ov2 which was originally created on the Go and contained changes to upload to TomTom are not now being produced. The last one on my device is dated 06-02-2008 yet changes were made yesterday in both of the POI's and Home reported a successful upload.

Likewise the last POI download file which were in the CA****.ov2 format was 18-01-2008 yet changes such as new POI's have been added to the Police and Pharmacy ones in the last 2 days but not by me.

Would appear that TomTom have changed the method used to update the subscribed POI's

That may be the case. But I'm pretty sure that the POI corrections that were submitted earlier (when CAxxxx.ov2 and PAxxxx.ov2 were still being used) are not automatically included in the latest MapShare updates. So, my guess is that only POIs submitted after a certain date will be included.

Might be it. If you have any confirmed POIs that showed up now and/or during CAXXX time then please tell the coordinated. I recently redownloaded all MapShares from scratch, so I have no CA... files.

The would answer your question definitely.

I have examples of POIs (not submitted by me) that were downloaded via the CAxxxx.ov2 method but are are not available via MapShare any longer. I have not come across any POIs distributed since the CAxxxx files stopped appearing. If someone would give the location of a couple of POIs that have been downloaded via MapShare lately, I'd be happy to check if I can see them on my map.

I updated to TomTom Home V2.2.2.83 for my 720, I have discovered that when I select 'Operate my Go' and drill down to my 720's details, I get the following:

Tom Tom Go 720
App 7.221 (8572/040301) OS:1000
GPS v1.21 Boot 1.0012
Map: Western Europe V710.1561

Have we gone backwards again in this version of TT Home?
