New tomtom map question

I have bought a new TOMTOM V3 for the wifes car. I have the original TOMTOM ONE thats about three years old, with the original map. Will i be able to replace the older map on my original model, with the map from my newly purchase V3 model by simply copying the files across

I am afraid not. Only one map can be used on the one device and is connected by the device code so there is no way of copying the map over to your device also. I would'nt even try it because it has been known to cause problems in the TT afterwards.
