I'm about to buy a 920 but I've heard that new maps may be released shortly. Does anyone know how the map guarantee works? Is it based on the date your buy it, date you first turn it on or the date you first connect to TT Home?

There's some good deals around at the minute so if it is the date you turn the unti on then I may leave it for a few weeks before I use it. Just a shame I didn't get it last week when it was £269 from Halfords....

In a word, NO!!
Presuming you've got the weekend free, use it to read all 30 pages of this thread and all will be revealed (NOT!). Buy one from a real shop and before you do, ask them to guarantee to you that they'll provide the next new map if TomTom don't. But best to hold off a bit until you hear that new maps have been released, then get the device and get the guarantee from the shop.
