I've had my Medion for a few days now and I think that I've just about mastered it. I am getting in a bit of a muddle though with POI's . I've installed POI Warner and subscribed to poihandler, mainly for the speed cams. Did I waste my money on the POI subscription? It seems that I could have download the Speed camera database from this site, converted it, and used that instead. Am I correct in thinking that the big advantage is the syncronization feature that poihandler offers? Is either database superior to the other? Would it be correct to assume that as the poihandler is a subsciption service that it's better and more up to date? Lastly is there any way to merge the 2 databases and enjoy the best of both worlds?

Thanks for a very friendly and informative forum. It really has helped to get me up and running.

I dont think you can go wrong for £8 a year, with the convience of having it update automatically whenever you drop it on the cradle.

How it compares to the databases used by the dedicated GPS camera warners, which charge £50-£80 quid a year, I don't know. I might check it against the DB here at some point. It seems to have all the cameras locally, but you buy for the ones in places you've never been before.

Anyone want to admit to using any of the other interesting POIs convered by the subscription, such as the red light districts Wink

Cheers
