Does anyone know of a way to attach the sucker to the dashboard?

You need to buy a sticky disk which attaches with strong glue.

Like this

Ignore TomTom logo its a generic mount.

Halfords might do one.

Navman used to ship similar thing with some 6xx units. I vaguely remember something about a law in California (?) where it is not allowed to attach anything to the windscreen so GPS devices have to attach to the dash. However, Navman's version didn't use glue, it was attached to the dashboard with three screws.
