I had a recent issue with home in that i had recently bought a tt1 3rd edition on my current email address, but then sold it to get a tt go 520 so i could add the SE USA map on it, and because it wasnt more than 6 months tthome just cried at me! Had to ring tech support which was actually a very helpful process. The guy wasnt british, sounded more dutch with good english and tried to help but eventually said "ive sent you an email regarding the addition of this device" and he did exactly that. I promptly scanned my 2day old receipt and send it back through the initial email. 2days later, tthome recognised my new tt go 520 using my main email address.
BUT......
Now i get all the maps and updates from the tt 1 3rd edition AND the updates for my go 520. But thats for another post...... _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

See my point? Even a successful one took at least 4 days and in the meantime, here am I, whitevanman, pretty dependent on my non-working GO to earn a crust, can't use it to go to deliver something in France because the Europe map I bought for the previous one cannot yet be used on the new one. Or maybe I'm just going on holiday and bought the map for that, but my GO collapsed and was replaced 3 days before my ferry?
Not impressed - in this day of 8Mb downloads, Instant Messenger, email and so forth, it takes TomTom a good 4 days to sort that problem. _________________ Dennis
