Can anyone tell me if the newer SDHC cards work in the TT Go 720T?.

What is the max gig size of SD Card the TT Go 500 will take, and does it take(read)the newer SDHC Cards?. Confused

My 720 has an 8GB SDHC card fitted and is working quite happily, the 720T is the same hardware it just means you get the RDS-TMC device in the same box.
As for the 500 I would stick to normal SD cards (not SDHC) and I think the max is 2GB - Mike

Although there are a couple of 4GB NON-SDHC cards around which have been reported to work on the old models. 'Transcend' and 'Topram' were the names mentioned I think. A forum search for "SDHC" should find references to them.

To repeat... SDHC cards CAN be used in the 520 and 720 models (and presumably the 920 too). It is only the older models that need NON-sdhc.

The card I just got is also a Peak class 6 capacity 8GB, but my PC will only see it as a 4GB card and format it in FAT 32 at 3.65GB. That's in the PC, and in the 720T!. Ant idears people?. Confused

Mine did that at first, once I loaded more than 4GB on the card the second half of the card appeared giving me access to the full 8GB - Mike

Perhaps we could get a definitive answer to this question regarding plain SD & SDHC cards, so that we can all make the right choice of memory card for our machines.

Or is that being too sensible??? Embarassed

Is it being too sensible to read the definitive answers which have been given?

The very first answer - a week ago - seemed to be pretty comprehensive to me. Straightforward answer to both the OP's questions. Everything since then has been a bit of expansion, which supports that first response and adds to the general knowledge around here. Considering the variety of cards and devices, you'll not get any more definitive.
