As I said above, really. Ive been d/ling the Cameras with the Spoken alerts on my TT One for the last year, with no problems.

I've updated to the latest GB Map, and the Version 7 software, and I can't get them to work on the new map. ( They still work if I switch back to the old map).

I copied the Camera files into the new map.

I've followed the various tutorials, but nothing works.
If I put in a route, and check "Route Details", it shows the POI icons, but when I run the demo, nothing at all.

In the "Warn When Near POI" section, they are all listed, but its the old bells and whistles sounds.

Any help is much appreciated

Have you copied the .ogg files to the new map folder? - these are the sound files, for each POI category you should have

pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ogg
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ov2

Look at your new map folder using Windows Explorer and ensure the new map folder contains an ogg file for each of the cameras.
Configure the warnings for that map as the warnings are specific to the current active map, the fact they work with your old map will not read across to the new map automatically - you need to set them up - Mike

Yep, Mike . Done all that. Just checked as you suggested . All the files are in the new map folder.

Have you actually downloaded our .ogg file voice alerts? The method changed from using the data.chk file a while back.

You need to have obtained a set of alerts from this page.

OK, Didn't realise you had to configure them all individually for the new map. Demo seems to work now, I'll give it a work out tomorrow.

Thanks Lads Smile

The map folder contains a file which has the POI warnings within it along with a whole host of other settings, this file is specific to the map you have loaded so you need to set up the warnings for the new map for them to work.
If you are using version 7 software remember to answer Yes when it asks you "is this the correct sound" even though it plays nothing, if you answer No the device will lock up requiring a reset - Mike

Quick update: It worked OK with a few errors (speed not showing on camera icon, occasional "boing" before spoken warning).

I cured this by deleting all the camera and ogg files and doing a clean install on them rather than just over writing them (which the map update does).

So thanks again, Mike. You were spot on... Very Happy
