Navman S80i - have I made a mistake?

Just bought one from Halfords tonight and asked the guy in there about adding speed camera files and POI's. He said no problem. Heard conflicting reports about whether it has Text to Speech as well? Very important to me.
Now I find out that you cannot even load the full database from here without performance problems because of a 12K POI limit.
Does it have a reasonable POI database on it? Is their camera database usable and is the subscription on a new unit 12 months?
Sorry about the questions but won't open it until I know. My TT 730T is up for sale at the moment so need an answer pretty quickly!!

Well - returned the unit to Halfords as still not convinced it has TTS. The guy rang Navman CS & Tech Support who said "I'm not sure it has" and that was it. Took a demo unit outside and no - it doesn't!!
So Halfords Q&A on the web is wrong as their web team says it has.
Oh well, a pity but there you are.

You didn't seem to mention the unit purchased

If it is their latest S100T (or a S90i) then either DOES have excellent text to speech facility - other models do not feature tts

The speech camera database is excellent on the S100T providing you don't want mobile, which is personal preferance

It was in the title - the Navman S80i - the Deluxe model. The thing that surprised me was that Navman CS did not know either. Really inspiring!
Thanks, I realise the S100 is good but there is a reason that I did not get it but i have forgotten what it was! Oh yes, no bluetooth!
