Hi All,

Thinking about purchasing Navigon..

Can anybody tell me if both functions work i.e GPS and RDS/TMC in Navigon 6.1 with the Royaltek RTG-2000 Receiver.

I have looked on the web site but cannot find any information for this device.

Just an update.......

I spoke to Tec Support over at Navigon and they informed me that the RoyalTek RTG-2000 is not supported in there product and they have no plans to support it.

But it does work.

I use a medion MDPPC250 with that GPS. I don't have TMC so I can't comment. The secret was a hi-speed SD card.

With a standard SD card it was very slow and I have to hard boot the PDA all the time. With the hi-speed card it started in half the time.

Originally I used a Transcend x150 card. That card suddenly reported an error that it was write protected - it wasn't - it may have been a software corruption but I need an hour or so to swap the data back.

I have now ordered a Toshiba x133 which should work well too.

Hi,

Yes the GPS Side of the Royaltek works fine without any issues. However the RDS/TMC is the bit they do not support, it uses Royaltek Protocol for TMC of they dont support :-(

Which BlueTooth GPS/TMC receiver will work with Navigon?

I have the RoyalTek and can confirm the TMC does not work.
