My emtacBT gps receiver is flashing blue as it usually does when switched on, but when I use it with TTnav2 there is no signal being registered, also I tried with my 'navio'program again no signal, its not a satellite recetion issue, this happened all of a sudden, after normal use for a 2 months, is there a reset button for the emtac or has it just packed up, would appreciate hearing from anyone with any ideas.

Hi Steve
What is the green light doing when you switch the unit on? If its a static green light that would indicate a problem witht he reception of the GPS signal.
I had a problem with my Socket unit which ended up with me having to return it to the US for it to be replaced.
Best regards.

Steve,
Do you see the green light come on at all (flashing or continuously)?
If not you may have the same issue myself and one or two others have seen - check out this thread:
http://pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3327
My unit was working fine for about 4 weeks before this happened. I only get the flashing blue Bluetooth light on the unit now and my GPS software reports no data received.
Please post here to let us know how things turn out.
Thanks,
Chris |

I fixed mine. I had to take it apart and short a couple cicrcuit parts. if you look on the back of the card there are to items, 1. a long white rectangle and a circle in a square. if yiu just short the board connections for each item it will drain the memory battery (capacitor) and reset the system.
I due have electonic training and know this willnot kill the part as all you are doing is draing the charge, |
