I saw a video released from Kodak that dropped a fair big hint that their cameras would have GPS built in. I have heard nothing since then, a few months ago and would like to know if anybody else knows about it.

Alternatively if there are good, sensible priced cameras already with GPS in them I would like to know ~ and if they work.

I would love to say xxx has this under development and will be releasing shortly, but unfortunately I cant. Currently there are very few cameras with built in GPS and all of these are aimed at the Professional user.

Nikon announced the new D3 and D300 last month but these cost £3500 and 1300 respectively and you still have to buy a GPS for them.

On a more positive note I have spoken to some GPS chipmakers who tell me (without being specific) that a lot of camera makers are looking at this technology.

Of course there is still the option of the Nokia N95 which will geo-tag a picture taken with the camera.
