Not all SCP's are the same though... Ours just give a road name eg Thornton Road (which happens to be over 8 miles long and they have 3 or 4 regular haunts along the length of it!)

Their co-ordinates / maps on websites are also often very innacurate and not really useable. We do try to keep an eye on some of them though as a last resort for checking ;)

MaFt, when are you going to delete 9142?
I'm getting p'd off with the false alert every time I cross this junction north/south and back.

Has it ever been reported, Sallyann?

There is no 'remove' request in the verifiers' files I'm working from (2 or three days old), so either:
1. it is so new it isn't on the list yet, or
2. it was on an earlier list, but another verifier has rejected the request (because it IS there) or
3. it's never made it onto the files to be checked for whatever reason.

Only MaFt can check if it has been reported at all.

Yes, I reported it twice and have confirmation emails dated 20/8/07 and 18/9/07. In the first report was:
"Removal of: Single Direction Unknown (ID#9142), Heading: 0, Lat:0, Lon:0 (United Kingdom), Speed:unknown, This camera does not exist.
There is only one camera at this junction - it is 11083 which is correctly described."

If there is another camera at this junction then it is EXTREMELY well hidden!

heard my name... came as fast as i could...!

apologies sallyann - it looks as though your submission was automatically filtered out as a 'duplicate' of camera 9142...

i've since amended the filter so this doesn't happen again!

Thanks MaFt.
I also reported on 4990 which although shown as deleted on your map is still in position. Possibly this is because there is now a bus lane by the camera and it is only being used to monitor the bus lane. I don't know how you could check that it isn't being used as a speed camera, other than the obvious method...

Well, I got my Lifetime Membership (well, 21 years it says, so I guess that's the same thing?) Very Happy

Not sure for what detal/changes/additions I submitted, but I spent some time checking as many locations as I could around where I live, and where some of my clients are.

As I reported, I found quite a few things that were not accurate and logged them for changes/additions.

Suggets other do the same as I'm all for an accurate database, and it's great to get a lifetim's membership Wink

Did see a camera on the A411 yesterday that didn't flag on TomTom, so it may be a new addition, but I didn't have time to log it correctly (last for a meeting).
