I have a 610 and have loaded the cameras onto it using the POIloader. So far so good...

I've also disabled the the Cyclops database supplied with the unit, still OK ..!

The problem I have is that I want to enable the warning sounds for the camera proximity warning but NOT for any of the other custom POI's I have uploaded like petrol stations. and I can't see how this is done.

Is there a numpty guide for this type of query, the handbook is somewhat lacking...

If you are using POI Loader in Express Mode then it is clever enough to work out what a speed camera is and isn't - it looks for "@30" (for example) in the name of the POI entry, and will use the numbers after the "@" for the speed limit to apply at this point. The petrol stations et al will not have this, and hence you will not get alerts for these.

If, on the other hand, you are getting alerts for them, we'll need more information to pin down the problem.

Please note there is a limit of the number of different POI files you can load into a Nuvi - if you have over 250 different files, please be careful, due to a bug in the Garmin firmware.

I sometimes miss my TT520 especially for adding POI categories.
