"We have examined this interesting technology and when we got the rig operating, we were getting 150 to 200 per cent more energy out than we put in".

Apparently some British engineer has invented perpetual motion!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/technology/technology.html?in_article_id=481996&in_page_id=1965

The scary thing is that some people out there actually READ this comic and it is quite possible that a few even BELIEVE some of the stuff they read in the Daily Mail! Laughing

This news is ten days old, I must admit when i read it, Daily Mail reader like you Skippy Wink i did wonder whether it was April 1st again.

I presumed if it had the slightest hint of being true, that it might work on creating heat as in a chemical reaction, eg as when you mix two-pack filler with a hardener, but it still doesn't add up to run a central heating system.

They must of run out of news that day and had Walter Mitty writing for them.

Perhaps I could use the 12 volt battery in my Mondeo, connected to their heat exchanger, to heat a huge tank of water on my roof rack, to generate steam, to run a pump, to get the petrol injected into my engine....sounds great.. Wink

They're doing well this week with stories that lack any real basis in truth!

Irish Inventor Mr Eccles? I can't remember the rest of their names, I think Colonel Gritpipe Thynne? Oh, I'm not going to sleep tonight unless somebody can come up with names. Curse my old memory. Harry Secombe and Spike Milligan will be turning in their graves!!

Slow!! Stop it! Why didn't I think of Google before?
Ned Seagoon, Eccles, Bluebottle, Major Bloodnok, Minnie Bannister, Henry Crun, Grytpype-Thynne and Moriarty.

Ah, those were the days. I remember listening with a crowd of mates round my radio in a billet in the Gulf in 1959/60.

The best way of producing energy would be to stick a heat exchanger under parliament - what with all that hot air etc from all parties, we'd be laughing

That thing looks looks an over elaborate sink bottle trap to me. I swear we sell most of the bits to make that! Anyway after a few guiness you tend to have a desire to remove items of clothing so, your heating would be last thing on your mind.

Thats what we all need, guiness on tap instead of water! Razz
