Oh, OK. I know people have issues when using the .co.uk address but the .com one generally works fine. _________________ Tim |

This facility has recently stopped working for me. It was OK till about a week ago. Now when i log in and access the forum list, the sections with new posts are highlighted but when i click on 'View posts since last visit' I get the 'no new posts' message. If I relist the forum, the sections are no longer highlighted, as though all posts have been marked 'read' although I haven't read tham.
I've tried with both Firefox and EI, deleted cookies and history but still the same.
help anyone? |

This isn't a feature that I've used before, but I just tried it and it worked OK _________________ Andy

Working here too, all I can suggest is you delete the cookies for this site, log back in and retest.
The facility relies on the cookies to calculate what posts you have or have not seen. _________________ Darren Griffin |

actually, and sorry to be a bit geeky here, whenever you log in it logs a time code against your username in the forum database and uses this so cookies won't make a difference... i.e. whatever machine you visit on it knows when you last visited / logged in.
are you sure you didn't log-in/visit and then leave the page and then come back and hit 'posts since last visit'? it SHOULD however remain active for your entire session though...
weird... well, you could lways try clearing your cache just in case!

There you go, learn something new every day, I'd always thought it was cookie based! Can I borrow that php book ;) _________________ Darren Griffin |

I've got a weird problem that's similar at the moment.
When I first come to the forum, some lists show there are unread messages but asking to see "all posts since last visit" comes back as "no new posts".
However, once I reply to a message, it works fine.
Any ideas? _________________ Gerry
