I've finally got an Edge 205 for cycling. I use a Geko 201 for navigation due to the number of way points and the fact I can connect it to my iPAQ running Memory Map.

I was under the impression that the Edge range could not output a GPS signal but I've heard from Memory Map that the latest firmware update for it does allow this to a PC/laptop.

Anyone tried this?

According to the Memory Map web site it works.

You may have difficulty getting it to work with your iPAQ as it's only a USB connection designed for connecting to a PC - just like the USB interface on your iPAQ.

Thanks - when I've asked the two sites that have made me cables before they have both said it will not work as both devices are USB slaves. I don't understand what this means. It seems odd that it might work if the Edge is connected via Bluetooth to the iPAQ, although that seems so expensive it's not worth bothering with.
