My OneXL doesn't have bluetooth Confused or am i being thick? Embarassed

It does indeed, you can connect to a suitable phone to access data feeds such as TRAFFIC, Weather etc but it does not have handsfree functionality, see our review here.

for me, the traffic updates are the best bit. before I go up to Gatwick or past Chichester I always check out the traffic and then avoid the blocks. I'm glad I got v2 then, even though the price was more. My phone is a T-Mobile account with GPRS included so I feel even smugger that I finally get to use what I'm paying for! Very Happy Very Happy

For me i dont see the loss of Bluetooth an issue, or the fact that the new unit doesnt have an SD card slot, shame the GB vesion donest have 1gb of internal memory though.

MapShare sounds a good idea would like the option to add no entry signs & as i drive a truck width restrictions.

Uh, without the SD slot, how do you had, say, the maps of North America? Shocked

Well clearly you don't but again this isn't aimed at such users, it's for the cabbies, van drivers and other users who only want a cheap entry level device.

smiley, i don't know how big the maps of north america are, but could you not take the european map of your tomtom using the tomtom home to copy it onto your pc first, so you don't lose it. (you may need your product code to reinstall it.. this was on the credit card thing that came with the unit) and then install the usa map onto your device? its not big enough to hold both at once probably, but then i guess you don't need both maps at once.

I would have thought it a wise move to get the European ONE V3 for a few pounds more, comes with more internal memory. The maps will only get bigger!!

Do you think TomTom will offer the v7 software as an upgrade option for TomTom One V2 users? I notice that it is available for download off certain Crack sites and is being stated as being TomTom One V2 compatible.

Although I wouldn't install it myself (especially as my One is still under warranty) I did download it out of intrigue and it appears to be simply a few files that need overwriting. Given this one assumes the V3 is a V2 with the bits taken out. Rest assured the download is deleted now!

I've never seen you with a hat, so is that an empty promise. Laughing

I think this is brilliant. My own 710 has the the handsfree phone, so I will keep that, but my work uses several of the Tom Tom 1, V2's in a pool, so we all have access. We NEVER use bluetooth connectivity there. We don't even need to have sound on them !! I think for the business market, where the all singing and dancing units features are not often used, this can't be beaten.

For the price, is there anything else comparable in the market ?

Yep, the TomTomOne (v2) at 149.95£ :-)
