I read in my local free paper 'Kent on Sunday', which is the best 'freebie' that comes through my door, the following.

EIGHT out of 10 motorists drive too fast on motorways - and men are more likely to be offenders.

I don't think my car will exceed 100mph and I wouldn't want to try it.

Plus, in today's traffic, you often struggle to reach 50 or 60 on a motorway Sad

I wish this post could be deleted so I could start again.

The specification says mine does but I'm quite happy to sit in a clear inside lane doing 60 than nose to tail in the middle lane doing 70-80 or the outside lane doing 90+. I make progress, arrive happy and relaxed and know I've saved a few bob in fuel tax by getting more mpg. Very Happy

Quite often, driving along the A303, I've sat in traffic, looked at the 50mph signs and thought 'I wish'. Sad

It is not possible to edit the items entered in a poll to produce what you want, this needs to be considered when you create the poll in the first place, expecting people to fill in a survey type poll is too much though they simply won't bother.

Stick to a simple Yes/ No type question, as to people admitting speeding at over 100MPH they would be either stupid or drive on a race track - I know my Ovlov can do in excess of 120MPH but not on a public road, if you want me to lock this thread and you can start again please say so, but carefully consider the structure of the questons - Mike

The full report read as follows:-

Quote:
EIGHT out of 10 motorists drive too fast on motorways - and men are more likely to be offenders.

Research among 4,000 UK motorists for insurance firm xxxxx found nine out of 10 men admit to exceeding the 70mph speed limit.

Nearly two thirds (63 per cent) said they have gone over 100mph on motorways.

Just over three quarters (77 per cent) of women admitted to breaking the speed limit, while a third (36 per cent) said they have broken 100mph.

I couldn't believe such a high percentage of both men and women admitted to driving over 100mph.

Yes, thanks Mike. I was trying to see if the voting on here would be the same as that shown in the paper.

I think I got it right in the other poll I posted.

I'd be pleased if you would lock the thread.
