I used to get those a lot. I responded by telling them I didn't need the money, but if they could split it between the three charities we support (Diabetics UK, British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research) and send me proofs of receipt, I'd be very grateful. No receipts turned up and I've stopped 'winning', too.

That's OK, Dennis, after reading your limerick I think that I was asking the impossible, so I think I'll just let you off! Wink Laughing

Good verse, by the way! Laughing

Bo Peep.

Sorry Dennis, I think that instead of quoting your post I clicked the Edit button and now all of my text has gone into your post!!! Shocked Sad

Can you remember (and repost) your excellent limerick?

I blame the anaesthetic!! Embarassed (Had two teeth messed about with this morning and it's just wearing off now...)

Regards,

Bo Peep.

if the anaesthetic is wearing off and your fingers are deleting peoples' posts are you saying that you need more or less anaesthic to get over it?? Wink

I'm convinced it was the liquid lunch you had to numb the pain Laughing

The trouble is that you can't talk, eat or drink properly when you've had anaesthetic for dental work and it always seems to take ages to work off. I try to avoid anesthetic whenever possible

I have anaesthetic before I go in! About 12 years ago, my neighbour (fast approaching dementia), lost her dentist (quite literally, he simply disappeared). I recommended her to use mine, a nice lady who treated me with great care and lots of anaesthetic.
So she went to her and when she came back, said she would never ever go near that dreadful woman again. She had hurt her terribly. But it turned out it was the anaesthetic which hurt her - she'd NEVER had one before, fillings, extractions, nothing. And thought it was dreadful. I had to stop listening.

Hmm, now. Short term memory check?

I once knew Veronika Van Gooi
Who had shoes made of something quite chewy
When out on the street
All the dogs she would meet
Said "Oh Woof they smell just like King Louis"

Now, bo-peep you can deliberately edit it out of existence this time!

GJF the new teeth are very good - look real. remind me to show you them at the next bash.
