Downloading Vers 6.03 for TT6 problems

I have been trying to download version 6.03 and it will not let me install it from Tom Tom Home onto my storage card. It keeps saying "you are trying to install to a volume that is read only". I have made sure I have plenty of space on my card and that it is not locked.
How can I install this update?
Any help would be gratefully received

Have you tried to copy the CAB file to the Pocket PC and run it there directly (without using HOME ?)

I am very new to cab files - could you tell me how I do that as I don't seem to be able to save the application to my desktop it will only stay in Tom Tom home.

Unless you have change the Destination in File | Preferences | Advanced the Folder should be C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\.

Just copy/paste the file to the Storage Card. You don't use HOME for anything, other than downloading.

Double Click the CAB File to run it.

There are two zip files with the .cab extension.
Do I have to unzip them and which one do a use.

The main zip folder is ttn.ppc.6.030.8320.cab and if I unzip that I have two which are ttn.cab and ttn2003.cab.

You might need both. It depends what you have on your PDA and that is beyond my understanding. Sad

If I remember correctly you use the ttn.cab File.

One other thing I forgot to mention. Make the cab file a Read-Only File, as after installing it will try to delete it. This saves time, especially if you are out on the road, and you need to do it again. Right Click file (in Explorer) and choose Properties, Tick Read-Only. Do this before copying.

What operating system have you got on the PDA ?
WM2003SE and you use the 2003 CAB otherwise if you are running WM2005 on the PDA use the ttn CAB file
