hi all, i have a nokia 6680 currently have tomtom v5.2 (443), version 571 of maps. I all confused about the maps. There is navigator 5, navigator 6 and tomtom 5. I want to know the difference between them all and if they all work on my mobile (nokia 6680). Is my current map up to date or should i buy new ones, i have all of western europe?
Also what is the latest maps for tomtom which will work with my phone.
I'm not convinced it is absolutely accurate and comprehensive (for example, your combination of 5.2(443) and version 571 maps are unmarked, but no doubt you have found they work just fine together). However, it will give you a good idea as to how it all hangs together.
My understanding is that map version 660.1223 is the latest release for Tomtom 5. Although there is no 'tick' by 5.2(443), there is also no 'cross' so I would tentatively suggest that they will work with your setup - but please someone step in and correct me if I am wrong.

Navigator 5, Navigator 6 and TomTom Mobile 5 are all software - the program you run on whatever machine you have. (I think Mobile 5 is now obsolete)
The maps are known by version numbers and they used to call them something like v571, which was a "version 5" map.
They are a bit old now, we are onto version 6 maps at the moment (and probably very soon to get version 7 to go with the new Version 7 software on the TomTom Go 520 and 720 machines).
With version 6, they started putting a decimal point in the number so you will see references to V6.650 and V6.75 etc - they are ALL "version 6" maps. V6.75 are what is being sold by TomTom at the moment .
You can only get them by download from the TomTom website, and they have a 20% off sale on 'til the end of this month.
Finally, if you are running Navigator 5 at the moment, I believe you need to upgrade to Navigator 6 to use version 6 maps fully. TomTom were giving away a free copy of Nav 6 when you bought a map.
