Which mammal doesn't have a voice box? This is NOT multiple choice. You have to get the answer by asking your kids "What does a xxx say?", until you come up with something that doesn't say anything.

This would depend very much upon your definition of "something that doesn't say anything" because many animals without vocal chords use other body parts to communicate - crickets use their legs, bees 'dance'...is this speaking or communicating??

Jellyfish
Octopus
Centipede

Is a Jellyfish, Octopus or a Centipede classed as a mammal?

A mammal is -
Any vertebrate of the class Mammalia, usu. a warm-blooded quadruped with hair or fur, the females of which possess milk-secreting mammae for the nourishment of the young, and including human beings, dogs, cats, rodents, cattle, whales, bats, etc.

GPS_Fan, I think you over complicated the question.

Yes, I deliberately complicated the question because this thread started off by saying that questions were too easy Wink

To any family's or children reading this, please accept the following - bonk (bŏngk)

means -

To strike or cause to come into contact: She bonked her head going through the low doorway.

v. intr.

n.
A blow to the head.
A hollow thud.

ooops, yes, sorry - I should have expanded my definition like GJF did for me.

I was in two minds whether to include that post to make people laugh or leave it out...maybe I made the wrong choice

Nothing to say sorry for! Confused :o

It's understandable that the rabbit bonked her head going through the low doorway. Laughing Laughing

Did you see that enormous rabbit in the newspaper?
It was the size of a child. 8O

Jellyfish
Octopus
Centipede

It's good to see that our favourite white van man is keeping his brain so active Wink

Now I'm waiting for the next question Dennis Laughing
Next question - Which ones of the above are NOT mammals? Hint - although not multiple choice, this one might be multiple answers.

Just for further interest. Back in another alter ego (35 years ago), I worked for a mail order company and we had outworkers - women who had to stamp addresses or whatever onto envelopes. They were know as "Bonkers".
