help urgently needed

Received the update disc for my garmin c510 this morning. followed all the instructions and all i get on my unit is " no detailed maps found that support routing. The streetpilot cannot be used without them.

Anyone help?

Sounds like either the upgrade failed, or the map unlock code hasn't transferred to the unit properly.

Firstly, can you go through exactly all the steps you went through, confirming all the things along the way - eg did you select the right upgrade option on the DVD menu (there are 2, and only one will work with your unit)....

Secondly, what is on your unit now - if you go to Settings / Map / About what map versions are installed to your unit?
