As a smoker myself it wont affect me that much as the pubs and clubs I go to already have a smoking ban and have done for a good few months now. If I am somewhere I cant smoke then it doesnt bother me.

What does bother me is the way smokers are treated, like some dirty little no bodies who should be locked away along with their filthy habit. I agree its not nice for non smokers to be around smoke but smokers are still human beings no matter what people say and we have a right to do something we enjoy with out being made to feel like outsiders.

I think the only people this ban will hurt are the publicans, they are going to lose a fortune.

You haven't been able to smoke in cinemas for years now.

If you could smoke in a resturant then I wouldn't want to eat there anyway.

Smoking in stores and shops is a thing of the past.

My work vehicle has been no smoking for over 9 years now.

What I think would have been fairer to my brother smokers would have been to have 'no no smoking' pubs Wink

Good idea, they have places for non smokers but none for smokers! People have asked me why dont I just give it up, it would be much easier I suppose but the truth of the matter is I dont want to give up, I dont know if I could or not as I havent tried, I enjoy smoking. I dont do it over stress as Im not stressed, or worried, or nervous I do it because I like doing it.

but I only smoke 12 fags a day but erm no I don't smoke in my swimming pool classy56, I aways leave the windows open when I smoke in my house or in car and no smoking for having sex either as well, well is that make sense to you classy56 Smile

Other problem a lot's of business like top nightclub, pub, hotel will lose a lot's profits go bankrupters but one thing there no smoking ban in house of common bar as so all the mp point Taunt

to the non smoking peoples.

No-one will go bankrupt, lets keep some perspective here. They'll have a drop in business for a short period and then it'll all return to normal.

It's been tried and tested in Ireland, Scotland and Wales already and it's made very little long term impact.
