I am using TomTom 5.201 on my Palm and have recently borrowed/modified a set of POI icons for the speed camera database.

I have noticed that they are not quite right.. They are missing one pixel/column on the left side which is actually moved/wrapped to the right.

So, it looks a bit like this. Imagine the icon is ment to be a square:

******
*-------*
*-------*
******

What I see under TomTom is:

******
-------**
-------**
******

All my icons are 22x22 (Which I think is right) so doesn't anyone know whats wrong?

I have done a bit of experimentation and found that if I reduce the file down to 21x21, 20x20 and 19x19 its exactly the same.

I also tried increasing the colour depth to 24bit, rather than 8bit and this has no effect.

But I have stumbled upon a workaround.. If I simply incease the file to 23x22 and left the left most column white, it appears normally..

If I was really clever, I could modify each BMP to put the right most columns on the left, so that when it 'wraps' it fixes the image.. But thats more complicated than leaving a blank line.

Am I the only one who has noticed this?

I will send you one straight way... But its really easy to reproduce.

I simply create a BMP of something like 20x20 (less or more gives the same results), and then draw a box 1 pixel wide around the ouside edge..

When I see it under TomTom, the left columns is missing, and the right side is 2 pixels thick, becaue the left most column has 'wrapped' to the right.
