I have just bought a leadtek GPS9559X and I have a HP Ipaq hx4700 running windows mobile 5. I can connect to the GPS with bluetooth without any problems but the device is not locking onto a GPS signal - there is a light on it which is supposed to flash green when it has a sattelite lock. I have installed winfast navigator and attempted a 'cold start' but it still will not lock onto a sattelite.

Probably the usual situation with a brand new GPS unit. Switch it on and place in a position with a good view of the full sky - then wait. It could take up to a hour to get a lock. Patience...

I connected the leadtek to my IPAQ and left them both outside for 3 hours this afternoon but still didn't get a sattelite. I know that my ipaq and the software works fine as I borrowed a tomtom bluetooth GPS from a friend and that works fine.

Any other suggestions?
