Hi,

Have just installed the PGPS Camera database onto my 910, apparently without a hitch (touch wood!). Whilst doing this I set up my own personal warnings to let me know of approaching cameras, which took a little time. Please could someone let me know the procedure for updating, is it the same as the initial installation? Will I have to set up my own messages again or does it just ament the existing files. If there is a link to instructions on this that would be great, as I'm new to this and a little nervous. Thanks.

Mark

Updating is much quicker and easier.
Assuming you used the ov2 files not the "Home" method, when you download the next update, just copy the ov2s only and paste them into the map folder as you did originally. Windows will ask if you want to overwrite files with the same name - just say "yes to all" and it will overwrite the old files with the new ones.
You don't need to re-copy the .bmps as they usually stay the same from month to month.

All your distance and audio alert settings that you've so labouriously set up will stay in place.
The only time you may need to re-assign them is after updating the TomTom's own firmware/software.

You can leave it on for comparison, but if you leave both "enabled" you will end up with confusing double alerts for many cameras.

remember that the TT ones are now disabled in the "Plus" menu, while the PGPSW ones are set up/enabled in the "Manage POI" menu.

Most people take the TT ones off for space reasons, but with a 910 this won't be such an issue!
