Nuvi 660 volume weirdness ...

Just picked up a Nuvi 660 from a fellow forum member ...

Is it me or is the volume settings on the 660 slightly strange ?

The spoken directions (even at 100% volume) are still on the quiet side - yet when I received a call on the Bluetooth part of it - I was blown away with it being so loud.

Any way I can tweak this ? Got the latest firmware .... know about the diagnostics screen ...

Anyone else experiencing the same ?

I've got the same issue on the 360. I have the volume at max and when driving on the highway, you can hardly hear it over the radio. However the headset is much louder, to the point where i have to turn down the volume to get rid of the distortion.

What voice are you using, I switched to the Jack voice and It's a bit better.

A recent firmware update on the 360 tweaked the bluetooth volume to make it a bit louder. The way I get round it is to have directions relayed via the car radio, which can then be adjusted as required.

Lets hope in the next update they do the same for the voices. Running it through my stereo is an option, however when you'd prefer to listen to the radio it's a bit on the annoying side.
