Nav 5 new maps update "maps not found"

I have an O2 XDA IIs running TT Navigator 5 and recently downloaded the UK and Ireland with WE major roads. TomTom support confirmed the map is correct for TT Nav 5, as my PDA doesn't support Nav 6.

But it cant find the new map! I keep getting error messages saying no maps found or it will find the old map of Great Britain but not the new UK one.

I have updated my Nav 5 to version 5.210. The old Great Britain map is version 562 and the new UK one i've upgraded to is 660.

As i said the support guy checked i'd downloaded the correct version but said TomTom home is not compatible with Nav 5 and i should install manually.

I've unpacked the files on my pc and copied them across to my SD card but it doesn't work. I'm begining to suspect this map is not compatible and have been advised wrongly
