Wired mono earpiece from Orange SPV M600

Hi All,

I'm trying to work out how to hear the gps directions from my Windows Mobile 5.0 Orange SPV M600. It has a 2.5mm stereo/ mike socket, and I have a 3.5mm mono earpiece.

Is there a way of bringing them together so I can hear the audio directions on my bike?

Please point me to existing threads - I tried but didn't get the search terms correct to find.
