Anyone successfully using the Fortuna ClipOn with an Ipaq 2210??

Just had a bad experience with a Rikaline X7 which struggled to keep a connection. :x

I'm looking to swap to a Fortuna and would like some positive feedback before I do.

Thanks.

Have had 2210 and fortuna clip-on for just over a week.
Using with TTN2 all seems well so far.

Thank God for that !! :D

Do you need to load TT2 and connect to your ClipOn in a certain way?

For example, connect to the ClipOn manually through the BT Manager and the nload TT2 or do you just load up TT2 and connect from there?

Also, do you store your maps on a CF card? I've got the main program on the Ipaq memory and a map on the CF.

Ta.

I connect to GPS via BT manager first then run TT2.
Incidentally I have checkpoint loaded so usually run that which in turn
loads TT 2
Maps stored on CF card.

HTH
cheers

HAve 2210 and Clip On. Some problems with BT manager connection but they can be addressed with the regedit comand found in the TT forum. Unit is very very good, never lost a SAT signal whilst driving and never lost BT connection once connected.

Enjoy.

I have the Fortuna Clip on with an Ipaq 2210 (literally had it for a few days only- My first GPS system) - works brilliantly, once I had figured out how to make the two talk to each other via Bluetooth - (its the Bluetooth port 8 to use, not the com port which it had defaulted to) - I am using TT3 and have found it worked great until I downloaded and installed the update for TT3 this weekend, suddenly the system seemed to freeze regularly during a journey. I tried it on a short 5 mile journey and it froze 4 times - I got home and unistalled TT and then reinstalled it (without the update) and all is well again.

Bit of a to find out how to switch from ST to XT mode, but with the help of these Forums have now managed that!

Heartily recommend the combination "Does exactly what it says on the tin"
