Firstly welcome In answer to your question, Memory-Map works with any NMEA compatible GPS, this includes the TomTom Mouse type and Bluetooth type GPS units _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you want to use Memory-Map outside your car on the 2210 then you will need to buy either a CF GPS or a BT GPS.
If you want to buy a TomTom Package and go outside the car then the TomTom BT is for you. _________________ Mike Barrett |

here's another idea then ... shall i stay with my Magellan Tracker .. and get the Ipaq 2210 ... then can i buy leads to hook up the tracker to the Ipaq and perhaps just the Tom Tom software ... ?
At the moment the Tracker outputs to a 9 pin D connector, via it's round connector on the rear. |

If you are happy with the performance of your Magellan receiver and you can get a GPS to PDA cable for it then this would be the cheapest route for you.
Check http://www.pc-mobile.net for cheap interface cables. _________________ Mike Barrett |

TomTom has a GPS Applet that will display Lat/Lon, Heading and Speed but not altitude.
Memory Map can display all the above and altitude. _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's a seperate screen in TomTom, see here for an example. In Memory-Map it's a data box overlayed on the map screen as here that can be shown or hidden and resized as desired. _________________ Darren Griffin |

that's great thank you .. i like the graphic nature of the tomtom screen .. the memory map version needs more than a quick glance !
is there any otehr third party software that gives a nice graphical representation, but includes altitude ? |
