TMC and AA Navigator 2007

Hi

my Nav-Cam 7500 is working fine, the TMC has reception for the majority of the time. My question is, it has never downloaded a single traffic update, despite being tuned in and showing reception.

Could this be a fault or do I need more patience to get an update, bearing in mind it has been on for a couple of hours with reception and got nothing?

Any help would be welcome
