trouble w/ tomtom5 and wired holux gr-213

i have a axim x51v/wm5, tomtom5 and wired holux gr-213. bundled gps viewer and odyseey mobile work ok (com1), but tomtom5 just doesn't recognize gps signal after so many attemps. pls help me.
