(Boston) There are over 240,000 businesses listed in the Manhattan Yellow Pages alone. In Los Angeles, the Yellow Pages requires two volumes weighing over three pounds each and in Tryon, North Carolina (population 2,346) the Yellow Pages would barely qualify as a short children’s story. Yet all of the information contained in these directories, and in every other Yellow Pages directory in the country, now fits neatly into a Pocket size device weighing less than twelve ounces.
