GPS Monitor using Mio P350

Hi

Can not see any sattellites using Medion Navigator 4.4 software (Navteq mapping / Directed by Navigon) and I tried all COM ports and baud settings - could this be because the P350 has Sirf III integrated chip which is not NMEA?

Anyway, I am desperately trying to see satellites, I downloaded GPSTweak and GPS Monitor. Using GPS Monitor I get "Invalid" box showing in bottom right of screen it would allow me to change port settings from the tools menu (says "couldn't find value") - setings frozen on COM1 and 9600 baud..

I am rushing off to PC World very shortly to spend even more money on software hoping I can get it all set up for my trip to France tomorrow

I bought this P350 without software a couple of weeks ago. I sent it back to Mio and for some reason they changed the motherboard but the problem of not seeing satellites is still there.

Why isn't GPS Monitor seeing satellites either and why can't I change its settings. What else can I do with any other software including GPS Tweak?

Any ideas ?
